HISTORY OF ORANGUTAN SAFARI

Yofie Kamale is the owner of Orangutan Safari and he was born in Kumai – Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan Province 46 years ago. Before becoming a tour operator, Yofie Kamale was a Captain and owner of the “Klotok” or Traditional wooden boat at 2007 to 2011 in Tanjung Puting National Park.

At that time, Yofie Kamale also became the Chairman of the Kumai Tourism Boat Association until early 2012, from here Yofie Kamale began a tour operator with his experience serving tourists on his boat.

In 2016, Yofie Kamale legalized his business in the tourism sector by establishing a company named PT Indonesia Green Tour (IGT).

After one year of operation, Yofie Kamale also founded a social institution, namely the Indonesia Green International Foundation (YIGI), which is engaged in the field of social eco-projects with several programs, namely Education and Culture, Conservation and Environment, and Community-Based Regional Economic Development with an environmental perspective until now.

 ORANGUTAN TOUR TANJUNG PUTING

This program are in the Tanjung Puting National Park, To get to Tanjung Puting National Park, we have to use the traditional wooden boat (Klotok) to explore the Sekonyer river and take you to the witness the wild and rehabilitated orangutan and natural scenery a long the Sekonyer river. Yo need to know that nor every visit can guarantee you will see orangutan or other animals, because all animal are released into the wild and return to their habitat.
How long is the ideal visit for the Orangutan Tour?
Time is very important for all of us, if you just want to take a vacation or study tour, we suggest you to visit is 3 days or 4 days.

 THE WILD OF ORANGUTAN TOUR

Tour packages “The Wild Of Orangutan Tour” really needs good stamina and this program is outside the Tanjung Puting National Park area. The duration is ideally a minimum 5 days, this tour package is made for tourists who want to see the life of wild orangutans outside the conservation area. They (orangutans) live in the remaining forests and there is little food support for them (orangutans) to survive. This tour package is very special because we (orangutan safari) have several places where we can find wild orangutans outside the conservation area.
